About the Award

The Award For Excellence is granted by the Founder, or current Soke, to black belts in Wa Shin Ryu Jujutsu who:

1. Exemplify the highest virtues of Wa Shin Ryu Jujutsu
2. Demonstrate commitment to the system and loyalty to their sensei by placing the Wa Shin Ryu tattoo on their left forearm.

The 7 virtues are:

Honor, Discipline, Responsibility, Commitment, Resourcefulness, Loyalty and Achievement
